Missouri Youth Opportunities Program
Are You a Missouri Taxpayer?
Decide Where Your Tax Dollars Go.
The State of Missouri issued Youth Opportunities Program (YOP) tax credits to KcATC. Here's how you can direct your tax dollars to fund our students' success.
How It Works
- 1 Make a donation of $1,000 or more to KcATC. Cash, check, credit card, stock, or in-kind gifts all count.
- 2 Click here for the application, complete it, and send it to KcATC. Mail it to Kansas City Autism Training Center, 10842 McGee St, Kansas City, MO 64114, or email it to [email protected].
- 3 We'll validate your form and forward it to the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED).
- 4 The DED processes your application and sends you a Certificate of Eligibility along with the Missouri tax credit form for your state return.
- 5 Use your tax credit for the year you donated, or carry it forward for up to five consecutive years.
Example
Say you donate $5,000 to KcATC. Here's what that could actually cost you, once the Missouri tax credit and your federal deduction are factored in:
| Donation | $5,000 |
| 70% Missouri tax credit | −$3,500 |
| Federal individual tax savings (37%) | −$1,850 |
| Net cost to you | $150 |
